Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage as a Factor in Ensuring the State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation

In the era of digital transformation, we can make culture even more accessible to humanity.
Modern technologies for creating digital copies can be used as a way to preserve the best examples of national heritage – original monuments of literature, fine arts, music, architecture, and other significant objects.
One tool that could help achieve this is the “Digital Repository of Cultural Heritage” – a digital platform of a single cultural and educational space that would ensure the preservation, authenticity, and accessibility of cultural objects.

Aspects of the discussion:
• How can we prevent information about cultural monuments from being replaced by “fakes” given the rapid proliferation of AI-generated content?
• How can the collection and verification of data on cultural objects be consolidated? How can we transition from individual and unconnected projects to a coherent government ecosystem?
• Why is it so important to prevent the loss of cultural property? How can the centralized preservation of cultural property help strengthen historical memory and the national identity of the Russian people?
• Why is it important in an era of global challenges and threats to overcome stereotypes and build an honest dialogue of civilizations through the mutual representation of cultures?
